I can't speak to its longevity but we used it today and had a great time. The pillow was too small to hook into both hooks but it made no difference. I'm a big woman, (5ft 6 and 230lbs) and it held me just fine.
I am so happy I bought the XL size. I had plenty of room to spread out and lay flat. Luckily it comes with two patches of vinyl for fixes.
This is probably hands-down my favorite thing I have bought. With water it was totally comfortable to lay out in the summer sun and get some vitamin D!
